Openair Horizons: Water privacy policy
The Openair Horizons: Water mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android collects no data.
Openair Horizons: Water was previously called Venture Out.
The short version
The Openair Horizons: Water mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android collects no data. It has no account, analytics, advertising, attribution, or purchase SDK. The official web edition has no application analytics or ads, but loading any website necessarily sends ordinary connection information to its hosting providers. Editions hosted by third-party game portals may show ads under that portal’s own privacy policy.
Mobile app (iPhone, iPad and Android)
The mobile app bundles its gameplay files and can play offline. Progress, settings, earned pearls, chosen craft and paddler, and accessibility preferences stay in local storage on the device. The current app has no advertising or in-app purchases.
Motion control is optional and stays off until you turn it on. When it is on (and, on devices that ask, after you grant motion permission), accelerometer and gyroscope samples are used in memory for steering and shake gestures. They are not saved, linked to an identity, or sent off the device.
Official website and installed PWA
When you visit the official website or install its progressive web app, your browser requests the game files from our web host. As with any website, hosting and network providers may process connection data such as an IP address, request path, timestamp, and user-agent information to deliver and secure those files. Openair Horizons: Water does not add an account, analytics beacon, advertising identifier, or behavioral profile to the official web edition.
Third-party game portals
A portal edition can activate that portal’s SDK for interstitial or opt-in rewarded ads. In that setting, the portal operator and its advertising partners, not the official Openair Horizons: Water site or mobile app, may process data under the portal’s privacy policy. Review the policy shown by the portal before playing or accepting an ad.
What stays on your device
Gameplay progress and settings are stored locally so they survive between sessions. Openair Horizons: Water does not synchronize them to an account or developer server. Clearing site data or deleting the app removes that local copy. Your device’s own backup service (for example iCloud or Android backup) may include that copy under your own settings; the developer never receives it.
What the developer does not collect
We do not request your name, email address, account credentials, precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifier. We do not sell player information or use cross-app tracking. The game has no developer-operated analytics or telemetry endpoint.
Children
The game does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A child using a third-party portal is also subject to that portal’s age rules and privacy policy.
Changes
If a future native release adds purchases, advertising, accounts, or telemetry, this page and the App Store privacy label (and Google Play’s data safety section) will be revised before that release ships.
